Hello, I’m Sue to all my friends and customers—proud owner of The Smedley Hotel, a place I’ve had the honour of running for the past 31 years.

What began as a personal dream has grown into a longstanding part of both my life and the community—a hotel known for its welcoming charm, timeless character, and genuine hospitality. Over the decades, I’ve poured my heart into creating a space where guests feel not only comfortable, but truly cared for—whether they’re staying for a night or becoming regulars over the years.
